Mark Your Calendar for Sept 15Th the High Hopes Blue Grass Band there will be 5 members that will be playing and singing at The Fair Grove Farmers' Market.

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market has fall produce arriving in style, with pumpkins and watermelons, squash and cucumbers just to mention a few. The tomatoes are still arriving.

Local Honey, Fresh Angus Beef, Tortillas, Fresh Baked Pies and Jams and Jellies. And lots of other baked items. Peaches are plentiful along with Apples.

The Market Cafe will be offering pizza by the slice.

So plan a evening of shopping for great produce, live music, dinner, and Lots of Fun.

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market Customer apprecation day is September 1ST

Come and sample some fresh produce along with some baked goodies.

The pottery class for the Kids is Sept 1st. Limited to the 1st 20 kids.

The cost is $10.00 per child. This is a 2 week event. The 1st week they will create there project, Then the 2nd week they will paint it, and the 3rd week they can pick it up.

Jay Nixon Proclaims August as Farmers' Market Month for the State of Missouri

Around 11 a.m. in the Agriculture Building at the State Fair, Governor Jay Nixon proclaimed August as Farmers' Market Month for the State of Missouri.

Dr. Jon Hagler As Missouri’s twenty-first Director of Agriculture introduced Governor Jay Nixon and the First Lady to proclaim August as Farmers' Market Month in the State of Missouri.

Jim Gulick the President of the Missouri Farmers' Market association was there to receive the proclamation.

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market along with Shane Schoeller and Carl Buckner, presented a Basket of Fresh Produce and a Basket of Fresh Baked goods along with a few crafts and Coffee and Local Honey, along with a gift certificate for the Fair Grove Farmers' Market.

The First Lady is such a Sweet lady with such class and what a warm smile she has. My husband said she reminded him of his mother with her smile and with such grace.

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market presented Shane Schoeller a basket of goodies for recognition for being our State Representative for our Great community of Fair Grove. Market Umbrellas Are Gone

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market has a wide variety of Produce, Beef, Coffee, tortillas,crafts, and lots of baked goodies. Along with Rain Barrels and dogie treats.

Jack and Janet Brooks are at the Market with Local Honey. Kids you need to get signed up for the pottery class to start on September 1St. There will be $10.00 per child, each child will create there own pottery creation and will paint it. This item will be dishwasher safe that you create. Come and sign up. This will be limited to 20 kids.

And all so if anyone has any information about the Cafe picnic table umbrellas please come forward and Help Locate them. These were donated by Coke a Cola for the customers to be able to sit in the shade and enjoy there dinner, at the Market Cafe. It is a shame that people can not respect other peoples property and they have to take stuff out of the cafe that does not belong to them. See The Market Manager for any information you might have. This information will be kept confidential!

There will be a $20.00 reward for information that helps to get these returned to us!

The Family Pharmacy along with the Chamber of Commerce has donated bottles of water for the customers during these hot days of summer. There will be free bottles of water on 8/18 while they last.

The market serves to strengthen the local communities ties while enhancing our community's quality of life. Each week the farmers in the marketplace display a colorful bounty of agricultural products grown right in our backyard. Seasonal diversity is available through April till October, rain or shine. John Pate from Stockton has the best peaches around the state of MO. John will have nectarines as well as peaches this week. John Pates is known as Pates Orchard. John has been a member of our Market for 8 years. His wife Barbara makes peach and blackberries jams and strawberry, all from what they grow.

Our market offers a wide variety of produce. as well as crafts. We have rain barrels, gourds bird houses and pottery just to name a few. I personally make homemade cinnamon jelly and I make it with splenda and with sugar. This is my own recipe so you will not find this at any other farmers' market or the store. When you shop at a local farmers' market there will be produce or crafts and baked goods you will not find at your local stores.

Fair Grove Farmers' Market

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market is a Grower and producer only Market this year.

At the March 2010 meeting is was voted on to have our Market for growers only.

“We decided we wanted a growers-only farmers market, rather than a retail outlet place,”

What this means for the customer is that all your fresh produce or products you purchase at the market is from the producer only. We are not allowing any resale of produce from auctions or other sources. The vendor you buy your produce from is the grower.

If you come to our market, you can talk to the vendor and find out how it’s grown. You can get a fact-to face interaction, you can actually talk to producers about the products themselves, We feel that this is important to you our customers.

It’s a great atmosphere and a great place to come. So if you have any questions about where your produce is coming from, ask the vendor. All of our vendors guarantee there products or produce %100. Our Market has a information booth so if you have any complaints or comments be sure and stop by and see me.

The market has Sweet corn and blackberries and peaches, and a wide variety of produce.

In the fall we will have a new vendor with pears. We have a market cafe and crafts at our market. Fresh roasted coffee, beef, fresh farm eggs, and lots of fun.

Jennifer Farr one of our newest vendors with pottery, is offering a class on Sept 1st from 5p.m. till 6 p.m., to the first 20 kids that sign up. There will be a $10.00 charge to cover the cost of the clay and paints and firing. So be sure and Stop by and ask Jennifer for details.

The Fair Grove Farmers' Market is proud to announce that the Blackberries and sweet corn has arrived. You can get Blueberries,(although the blueberries will be done for the season in a couple of weeks so its best to stock up now).Get your Sweet Corn and all your favorite produce in one shopping spot. There is Peaches, cucumbers, green beans,to name a few, and fresh Baked Pies and Bagels and lots of other baked items.

You can even order a load of top soil from Ron Lemon of Fair Grove.

Her mission is simple: To provide quality Handcrafted Soaps and Natural Bath & Body Care that respects your body and the environment. This is Sandra's 2ND year at the Fair grove Farmers' Market. You will find rain Barrels as well has all natural home made dogie treats. Our Market has a wide variety to choose from.

You can find fresh cooked kettle corn at the market this year. And our newest vendor with fresh ground roasted coffee.

The market cafe has fresh grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, chicken and brisket wraps. And on those hot summer days you can get a flavored ice.

I had such a over whelming turn out from the customers as well as the vendors.

I handed out voter forms the last 2 weeks of the market to customers as well as vendors, to vote for there favorite vendor and why. We all meet at Hilltop pizza for a Vendors night out and to hand out awards and all vendors received a Agri Mo shopping bag. All the Vendors are winners with there hard work and dedication.

Ray and Jan adopted 4 kittens the last week of the market from a customer, that the mother cat could not take care of. They are at there home getting bottle fed. The customer was in tears and was so relieved that she found a home and that they wouldn't die.
